Good morning. About a year ago, I ran the exact same question through three different AI tools at once, on something that actually mattered to me and my family. Today I'm telling you what happened, all three separate times it changed something real.
AI INSIGHT
Three Ways AI Changed My Life
A few friends and I discuss, debate and argue about a lot of things, including how much trouble the country's debt is going to cause us down the road. One of those arguments sent me looking for a real answer.
I gave ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude the exact same prompt: our actual assets (no account numbers), our income, and a serious recession to plan around. Same details, three tools, no editing between them. I reviewed all three answers with my friends, then brought them to my financial advisor, who was genuinely impressed. We changed our financial position because of it.
That result made me try AI somewhere I'd been skeptical before: my own health. I'm a type 2 diabetic, so I gave AI my medications, prescriptions, and every supplement I was taking. It wouldn't touch my prescriptions, but it flagged supplements that were actually working against me, the kind we all buy because an ad told us to. I made the changes. Within a week I felt better than I had in years.
That same stretch, I had several open hours a week and no idea what to do with them. I sat in a recliner with my phone for two hours, telling AI what I was good at, what I wasn't, what I cared about, and what had just happened with my finances and my health. By the end of that conversation, AI for Daily Living was born.
If you've been putting off a real test of what AI can do, that's the whole lesson: give it your actual situation, not a hypothetical one.

AI TUTORIAL
Turn a Closet Full of Stuff Into Cash With AI

Every house has a closet, a garage, or a spare room full of things nobody uses anymore, worth actual money if you can get past the work of figuring out what to call it, what it's worth, and where to post it. AI can do most of that work for you, starting with a single photo.
✓ Photograph each item in good light, one item per photo, plain background if you can manage it.
✓ Upload each photo to AI and ask it to identify the item, brand, and model if possible, plus what it typically sells for used.
✓ Ask it to write a short, honest listing description: what it is, its condition, and why someone would want it.
✓ Pick a platform that matches the item, a local marketplace app for furniture and large items, a specialty site for anything collectible or brand-specific.
✓ If it doesn't sell in a couple weeks, ask AI to suggest a lower price or a different way to describe it before you give up on it.
Try This With AI What it does: Turns one photo into an identified item, a fair price, and a ready-to-post listing description.
"Act as a resale expert. Here's a photo of an item I want to sell: [attach photo]. Identify what it is, including brand and model if visible, tell me what it typically sells for used in good condition, and write a short, honest listing description I can post as-is."
Customize it: Attach a real photo every time. The accuracy of the price and description depends entirely on what AI can actually see. |
If it does not work: AI can misjudge condition or overstate value from a photo alone, especially wear that's hard to see in a picture. Tell it plainly what's actually wrong with the item and ask it to adjust the price down.
What this doesn't fix: AI can't handle the actual meetup, the negotiating in person, or spotting a buyer who feels off. Meet in a public place, and trust your gut over a good offer that doesn't sit right.

REAL WORLD
How We Used AI This Week
Real people, real uses—here’s how AI is quietly making life better, one small win at a time.

🛠️ Olivia M., Boise, ID. Her seven-year-old dishwasher stopped working, and she had already picked out a $500 replacement. As a last try, she gave ChatGPT the model number, error codes, and a photo of the control board. It walked her through diagnostic mode and narrowed the problem down to the heating element, not the control board she assumed was at fault. The replacement part cost about $25. She fixed it herself, kept her old dishwasher, and skipped the $500 machine entirely.
